Hi. I'm Christopher, welcome to this site. I'm seventeen years old and have been fishing since I can remember. This is called the Trout Bum Diaries but the truth is that I am a fish bum. I don't recall exactly when fishing became my passion (or as my Mom calls it my obsession), but I am consumed by it (or as we say around here:"eat up with it"). I really don't discriminate, with species or techniques, but my favorite is 'bluelining'. Finding those thin blue lines on the map above three thousand feet and bushwacking in search of 'specks'. There really is nothing like it. Like I told a friend: "it's the difference between fishing in an accountant's backyard and God's backyard'. It is a different kind of fishing, close range, usually sight, and most of all stalking. I love it! The Plains Indians won prestige by counting coup. This involved getting close enough to the enemy to touching them with a coup stick during battle. Well my coup stick is a six and a half foot fiberglass Winston!

2010 was a great year with over two hundred days on the water and almost exclusively with the fly rod. With the start of a new year I have a lot of dreams and goals.Hopefully it will be a great year of learning and sharing this great sport.
